JensenGrill’s lava pizza and baking stones are made in Sicilian volcano from the Etna volcano. The structure of the lava is carefully chosen to get a sturdy stone with the very right properties in terms of absorbing and distributing heat. These properties along with the powerful dimensions of the stone make it unique. The lava stone can be used for baking pizza and bread or for meat pieces and steaks. Additionally, the stone can be placed on a hot plate on the table and used to keep the pan or food warm.
With the stone follows a wooden spade, so pizzas and bread are easily handled.
The lave stone is placed in the grill before it lights up and is ready for use after 15-20 minutes after and grilled with coal or gas. If preparing meat or a steak it is important to trim for fat as there is a risk that the fat will run into the grill and ignite. The stone can easily be used in the oven and above the bonfire if preferred.
